In-keeping with their close working relationships with visual artists and their own live audio-visual work, flies+flies are releasing their debut album Spring as 12" ltd edition handmade screenprints and A3 posters with digital download.
The artwork is by Johnny Bull - renowned painter, graphic designer and cover artist for Repeater Books, a radical publisher with ties to the band. The screenprints are done in one pass, meaning the blend of colours on each is subtly different.
The frames are sturdy and have a stand attached, as well as attachments for wall mounts.
The idea was to question the fetishisation of vinyl as an art object - given most of us actually listen to music digitally, there’s no real reason why a physical format has to be playable?
Includes unlimited streaming of Spring via the free Bandcamp app, plus high-quality download in MP3, FLAC and more.
